After these horrifying news, I’ve decided to do a recap on KyoAni’s main titles from their foundation until now as a homage for its staff, especially the victims and their families. We don’t know where the studio will be going from now, but we do know of its journey until the present moment. There were hits and there were misses, but it overall deserves appreciation now more than ever.
This is going to be a bit long but they deserve it all and more.
Personally, part of me wants to believe that these people will continue living through their creations, but what’s been done to them is unforgivable. We all know that this will definitely affect current and future projects of the studio, but let’s show only support for the survivors until they’re able to get back on track.
Fantasy Name Generators has saved my ass so many times over the years, and when I went on it to look for names to use, I noticed a new thing:
It turns out that Emily, the owner of Fantasy Name Generators, has partnered with an organisation to plant more trees. From the site:
My site has grown to bigger and bigger proportions over the years […], but it also means using up resources without directly having to deal with them myself. Since living responsibly and striving to improve our planet is important to me, it was a logical step to expand this thinking to my sites. So, from this moment onward (June, 2019), I will be donating money to Eden Reforestation Projects to plant trees to offset the resources my sites use, which in turns fights poverty, restore deforested areas and protects bio-diversity…
I thought this was the coolest thing and wanted to share it with you all. Here’s the page, if you want to find out more about the partnership!
Even if you can’t contribute monetarily to this cause, a gentle reminder to turn ads off for the site to support Emily and the wonderful resource she’s created for us! 💛
People that try to stall minion/mount loot rolls in FFXIV are really annoying. Jokes on you I rolled a 90+ and my lunch just finished so I can wait lol.
Tiny dirty stray kitten hanging out at the bottom of our stairs since yesterday. There are a lot of self-reliant ferals around our apartment, but this little thing was dirty & covered in burrs. We gave it some chicken but couldn’t catch it. I think it may have wandered over from the outdoor cat hoarder colony down the street; that house is awful & we saw kittens there last week.
This morning the downstairs neighbor managed to grab it for us, and I put it on this cozy towel & started combing and picking the burrs & sticks out of its fur. It calmed down immediately and has been chilling here with me in the kitchen ever since. Got a vet appointment in an hour to get my little buddy cleaned up & checked out. I hope it isn’t too sick; I think it might have a cold.
If we can, we are probably going to keep her.
What a difference a day makes! Took this little guy to the vet, got the fleas and dirt washed off him, got some antibiotics for a slight cold, but he is otherwise fine. Kneading and purring up a storm, eating a lot and being heart-crushingly adorable.
We have named this glorious creature Nux.
A little over a month later and Nux is growing into a very long and floppy shoulder cat!
Oh my god!!!!
i’m so happy for this cat i hope nux knows im proud of him
